The spun ceramic fiber blanket has uniform diameters, long fibers and low content of residue balls. Its performance in interweaving, anti-layering, erosion resistance, flexibility and tensile strength has been comprehensively improved. It contains no binders, which ensures the product has reliability and stability in any environment. 
It has low thermal conductivity, low thermal capacity, good thermal stability and good thermal shock resistance, excellent tensile strength, excellent thermal insulation, good fire protection and sound absorption. 
The thermal capacity of the spun ceramic fiber blanket is 1/10 of that of the lightweight insulation bricks and lightweight castables. Low thermal capacity means that the furnace absorbs less heat in the cycling operation, the rising of the temperature and the energy consumption is reduced during the temperature control operations. 
The spun ceramic fiber blanket has found a wide application in industrial furnaces, heating equipment, high temperature pipes, high temperature reaction equipment, power boilers, steam turbines and nuclear power.
